It takes a village.
We are rebuilding one.

Women experience depression, anxiety, and burnout at alarming rates. Girls are navigating mental health crises mostly unseen. Most carry it alone — without a safe space to set it down. We built that space.

Built for women who carry a lot

Check On Your Girls Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that brings women and girls together through intentional workshops, honest conversation, and the kind of community most of us have been quietly craving.

"We ensure no woman or girl has to hold it all in. Being seen and heard isn't rare here. It's the norm."

We partner with therapists, wellness professionals, and community leaders to bring real resources to the women who need them most - right here in Tampa Bay.

We support growth across all 6 pillars of life:

💛
Emotional
🌿
Physical
🤝
Social
Spiritual
📚
Intellectual
💼
Financial

The problem we're solving: Most women are carrying more than they should have to carry alone. Most girls are navigating their hardest years without the community and confidence-building they deserve. We close that gap.

The Check-In

Our signature gathering. Structured, intentional, and designed to leave you feeling less alone and more equipped for life.

Workshops & Experiences

In-person and virtual workshops where women and young girls gather for guided reflection and shared experience. Come as you are. Leave knowing you are not alone.

Expert Collaboration

We bring therapists, fitness pros, beauty and wellness experts, and community leaders into the room so you walk away with actual resources, not just inspiration.

Resource Connections

We connect women with mental health professionals, financial educators, and wellness experts - people who show up as fellow villagers, not distant advisors.

Youth-Focused Spaces

Young girls deserve intentional environments to build confidence and grow outside of traditional school settings. Our youth programming creates exactly that.

Real Moments. Real Community.

This is what showing up looks like. Real women. Real rooms. Real community across Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco counties.

Smiles Shared

Shabrika Curry

Shabrika Curry

Some stories stay with you forever. Shabrika Curry, the founder's younger sister, passed away at just 10 years old after living with a disability. She never got to experience all the spaces and moments that should have been hers. She deserved more. And her memory is the reason this initiative exists.

"Every child deserves spaces where they can simply be loved, included, and celebrated exactly as they are."

Smiles Shared is a sensory-friendly community check-in created for wheelchair users, non-verbal children, and families of children with disabilities to experience joy, comfort, inclusion, and meaningful connection in a safe and supportive environment.

Inspired by the healing power of music, movies, sensory play, and community care, this experience centers children of all abilities while reminding families they are seen, valued, and never alone. Through accessible activities, calming spaces, and intentional support, Smiles Shared creates moments of happiness, belonging, and celebration for children who are often overlooked in traditional community spaces.

🎵 Music 🎬 Movies 🌈 Sensory Play ♿ Wheelchair Accessible 🤝 Community Care 💜 Non-Verbal Inclusive

Hosted by Check On Your Girls Inc. — honoring Shabrika's life by building the world she deserved.

COYG Events
